Women’s Asia Cup T20, 2024 – All you need to know
The 9th edition of the Women’s Asia Cup is getting underway on the 19th of July with the UAE and Nepal locking horns in the first match of the competition. The opening day will also mark the great rivalry clash between India Women and Pakistan Women.

The Sri Lanka Cricket Board is hosting the tournament.
The last match of the Women’s Asia Cup T20 will be played on the 28th of July.
India Women are the defending champions of the tournament as they won against Sri Lanka Women in the final match of the 2022 edition of Women’s Asia Cup.
A total of 15 matches will be played during the tournament and all of the games will be played at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla.
A total of 8 teams are participating in the Women’s Asia Cup namely; Pakistan, India Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Thailand and United Arab Emirates.
Women’s Asia Cup T20, 2024 – All you need to know
The teams are divided into two groups of 4 teams each:
Group A- India, Pakistan and United Arab Emirates, Nepal
Group B- Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Thailand, Bangladesh
The tournament will be played in a T20I format and it will be a great preparatory ground for the teams before the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup that will be played in Bangladesh in October 2024.
The teams will play in a single round robin format, locking horns against each team once in the league stages. The top 2 teams in the competition will earn a place in the Semi Finals. The final match is staged to be played on the 28th of July at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla.
