Andreeva becomes youngest player to enter fourth round in Wimbledon after Gauff

Mira Andreeva, a rising tennis star, made headlines by becoming the youngest player to reach the fourth round at Wimbledon since Coco Gauff.

Andreeva became the youngest Grand Slam semi-finalist since Martina Hingis in 1997 at Roland Garros before her teenage dreams were shattered by Jasmine Paolini.

After coming through qualifying, Andreeva now has a round-of-16 tie with former US Open finalist and 25th seed Madison Keys to look forward to.

The Russian froze on the big stage as Paolini, 28, became only the third Italian woman to reach the Paris final in the Open era.

It was a barnstorming start from the youngster on Court 3, racing into a 5-1 lead that soon become 6-2, with the opening set to her name.
