People’s Choice Country Awards 2024: Everything to Know

The 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards are here in time for one of country’s biggest years yet!

The annual ceremony puts the power of the winners in the fans’ hands, taking place in the legendary Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee on Thursday, Sept. 26. Country icon Shania Twain is set to host the exciting night.

Who is nominated at the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards?

Beyoncé leads the pack with 12 nominations for Cowboy Carter, including the People’s Artist of 2024, The Album of 2024, The Female Artist of 2024, and The Song of 2024. Zach Bryan follows close behind with 11 nominations.

Newcomer Shaboozey could also win big with his crossover hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” and he ties for seven nominations with fellow crossover star Jelly Roll.

There’s a few new names on the ballots that some wouldn’t expect to be in the running for a country award. Machine Gun Kelly, who now goes by mgk, is up for two awards. Post Malone is up for four following his country album F-1 Trillion, which was released in August.

Who is performing at the 2024 PCCAs?

Country’s biggest, brightest, and most exciting acts are set to take the stage for the big night. Shania Twain will kick off her hosting duties with a performance of her own to open the show and still riding off the high of her 2023 album, Queen of Me.

In addition, award-winning musician Brad Paisley and multi-genre superstar mgk will take the stage.

Previously announced performances from old and new country favorites such as Country Icon Miranda Lambert, Country Champion Kane BrownKeith UrbanKelsea BalleriniLady A, Parker McCollum, and The War And Treaty will also hit the stage for a night to remember.

Who is emceeing the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards?

Shania Twain is set to host the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards after Little Big Town took over hosting duties last year.

Twain is up for an award of her own for The Concert Tour of 2024. She recently embarked on her Come On Over – All the Hits tour in celebration of her legacy.

Who is being honored at the 2024 PCCAs?

In keeping the spirit of honoring country’s biggest stars, Miranda Lambert will be presented with the Country Icon Award to “celebrate her career, fierce individualism and innovation in the industry,” per NBCUniversal. Lambert just released her tenth studio album, Postcards From Texas, on Sept. 13.

Young superstar Kane Brown will also be honored with the Country Champion Award. Noted as being one of the main figures spearheading a new generation of country music, the 30-year-old musician blends together country, pop, and R&B. Brown has previously been nominated for several PCCAs following the release of his 2022 album Different Man.

Who is presenting at the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards?

The wide range of country stars and fans alike will take the stage to present both awards and performances, including Ashley CookeBailey ZimmermanChase RiceCody RhodesDashaOrville PeckParker McCollumPriscilla BlockScotty McCreery, Shaboozey, Tanner AdellTODAY host Dylan Dreyer and comedian Matt Rife.

Previously announced presenters Carly PearceDan + Shay, Little Big Town and Nate Bargatze will also help honor the nominees.

When are the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards?

The second annual People’s Choice Country Awards will be held Thursday, Sept. 26 at the Opry House at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT on NBC and Peacock. A special pre-show will air live on E! an hour before.
