What has Federer said about his final game?
The ‘Big 4’ of Federer, Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray are all competing, but the Swiss is the headline attraction.
“I think I can play at an acceptable level, playing with Rafa would be an absolute dream,” Federer said on Wednesday.
“I really don’t want it to be a funeral, I want it to be really happy and powerful and party mode.”
Federer has given many interviews in the past week, following his retirement announcement.
“Everything is possible, if you dream very small you’re going to achieve very small,” he said.
“You’ve got to keep believing that it’s going happen. Listen to your parents, coaches and teachers. I try to explain that every day to my children.”
Nadal has had his say too about the Laver Cup, excited to team up with Federer one last time.
“Hopefully together we can create a good moment and maybe win a match,” Nadal added.
